Current Research Interest:
My research interest lies in the radiation effects on materials. The main participation in the EDDE project is analyzing irradiated defect structures, including the TEM sample preparation, imaging and defects structural and migration analysis. The other participating project is testing the 316 SS in simulated PWR system to study the IASCC effects and mechanisms using proton source. Transmission electron microscope (TEM) and Scanning electron microscope (SEM) are frequently used to study the crystallography of materials and irradiation damage in both of the projects.
Master Thesis Research:
Conducted the experiment at ARCS, ORNL and employed the Inharmonic Inelastic Neutron Scattering technique to investigate the second order harmonic peak at the Pd-hydride system at low temperature, also working on developing a free recoil signal subtraction method to improve the accuracy of the previous background subtraction method.
