Dr. Shijun Zhao joined the Materials Science and Technology Division of the Oak Ridge National Laboratory as a postdoctoral research Associate in July 2015. He received his Ph.D. from Peking University in July, 2013, where he also spent two years as a postdoc. He is a member of the Energy Frontier Research Center on Energy Dissipation to Defect Evolution (EDDE). His work is mainly supervised by Malcolm and Yanwen Zhang. His research is manly focused on the modeling of defect formation and migration in concentrated solid-solution alloys by ab initio method and classical molecular dynamics simulations.
