Current Research Interest:
Main research focus of Artur Tamm has been related to atomistic simulations using empirical potential based MD and DFT, and the development of empirical potentials based on DFT forces and energies. Previously he has studied diffusion of Xe atoms on the surface of amourphous material and vacancy energetics at the interface of nanoscale metallic multilayered composites. Also, Artur has worked in RADinterfaces European Union, 7th Framework Programme representing University of Tartu. Finally, previous work also includes measurements of quenching rates of short-pulse laser excited gases.
